Tuttle Farm
A turtle hatchery is a conservation center where turtle eggs are protected and hatched to increase survival rates for hatchlings threatened by predators and human interference. These centers patrol beaches to collect eggs, then transfer them to safe, controlled hatching areas. After hatching, baby turtles are kept for a short period before being released into the ocean, often at sunset to minimize predation. Many hatcheries also provide care for injured adult turtles and offer opportunities for visitors to learn about and support sea turtle conservation.
